Cape Town Planetarium - South Africa
The Planetarium forms part of the South African Museum and is in the shape of a dome. A complex Star Machine and numerous projectors expertly simulate the starry sky of the southern hemisphere.
In addition there are interesting programmes such as the South African millionaire Mark Shuttleworth’s space flight and speculations of life existence on Mars.
During the holidays the planetarium hosts special programmes for children with the aim of introducing astrology in a fun and easy way.
The Planetarium is open daily.
